November in the Alps: autumn getaways and winter preparations

Dear customers and partners,

Between the last autumn getaways and the first winter preparations, November is a time to plan ahead. Whether you have a business trip to Geneva, a weekend in Annecy, a train arrival or a mountain stay to organise, Alps Transfers Cab by First Class Partner provides private chauffeur services by reservation.

In this November 2026 edition, discover our advice for arranging transfers, exploring the region and planning your end-of-year engagements.

Transfers between airports, railway stations and Alpine destinations

To reach your hotel, home or meeting venue, arrange your pickup as soon as your travel times are confirmed. We organise journeys to and from Geneva Airport and other airports and railway stations served in the region.

Provide your flight or train number, exact destination address, passenger count and luggage requirements. These details help us select a suitable vehicle and arrange your meeting point with the driver. For a return journey, please also specify your preferred departure time.

November in Haute-Savoie: explore at your own pace

Lakeside relaxation and wellness getaways

A stroll through Annecy, lunch by the lake or a relaxing break in Évian, Aix-les-Bains or Saint-Gervais can make for an enjoyable day out. Before booking your transport, check the opening days and availability of your chosen restaurant, spa or venue.

For trips to Semnoz, the Aravis mountains or the Glières plateau, your itinerary should take account of the weather, road conditions and return time. A November outing needs different planning from a summer excursion: bring suitable clothing and allow some flexibility in your plans.

The first Christmas outings in Annecy

The Tourist Office lists Noël des Alpes from 26 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Plan an outing with family or friends and arrange your return journey in advance. Check the Noël des Alpes programme with the Tourist Office before travelling, as event times and access arrangements may change.

On busy evenings, your meeting point with the driver will be arranged according to permitted access. Please tell us about any walking or mobility requirements when booking.

Business travellers: plan your end-of-year engagements

Meetings, client visits, seminars and team dinners become more frequent as December approaches. A one-way transfer or chauffeur hire by the hour allows you to organise travel around your schedule.

For business travel, provide the addresses, essential arrival times, planned stops and required waiting time. If you need an English-speaking chauffeur, mention this when enquiring so availability can be confirmed.

Discover the available arrangements on our business transport page. Each enquiry receives a proposal tailored to the journey and services requested.

Plan ahead for your winter 2026–2027 stay

Planning a stay in Chamonix, Megève, La Clusaz, Morzine, Avoriaz or another Alpine resort? November is a good time to share your transport requirements. Ski area opening dates vary by resort and snow conditions: check the official calendar before confirming your stay.
